To count towards your 2025/2026 ISA allowance, your deposit must be received in your ISA account by 23:59 (UK time) on 5 April 2026. The 2025/2026 tax year runs from 6 April 2025 to 5 April 2026, therefore payments received after this time will count towards the 2026/2027 tax year.
What is the deadline for ISA deposits?
We must receive your funds in your ISA by 23:59 (UK time) on 5 April.
- If your deposit is received before this time, it will count towards the current tax year.
- If your deposit is received after this time, it will count towards your next tax year ISA allowance.
💡 Example
If you send a standard bank transfer after the close of business on 3 April, it may not reach us before the deadline and will then count towards the next tax year.
How do weekends and bank holidays affect my deposit?
Standard bank transfers are not processed by banks on weekends or UK bank holidays. This includes the Easter weekend (Friday 3 April to Monday 6 April 2026) and other non-working days around the end of the tax year.
If you send a standard bank transfer close to 5 April, it may not reach us before the deadline and could instead count towards the next tax year.
Can my deposit be delayed?
In some cases, deposits may take longer to be received due to:
- Bank-side checks
- Technical issues
These factors are outside of our direct control and may affect when your funds are received.
What should I consider when depositing close to the deadline?
If you are depositing close to 5 April 2026:
- You may consider using Instant Bank Transfer, which is typically processed faster than standard bank transfers
- Please ensure you follow the correct steps, as otherwise your payment may be sent as a standard bank transfer
Standard bank transfers can take up to three business days to be received.

What should I keep in mind?
You are responsible for ensuring your deposit is received before the deadline.
❗️ Important
If your funds are received after 23:59 on 5 April, they will count towards the next tax year, regardless of when the payment was initiated.
