Instant Bank Transfers use Open Banking technology to allow you to deposit funds faster than a standard bank transfer. In most cases, deposits are credited within minutes, instead of the usual 1-2 business days.

How to make an Instant Bank Transfer?
To ensure your deposit is processed instantly, each new Instant Bank Transfer must be initiated from within the Trading 212 app.
- Open the Trading 212 app
- Tap Deposit funds
- Select Instant bank transfer
- Enter the amount you wish to deposit
- Choose your bank from the list of supported providers
- You will be securely redirected to your bank’s app or online banking page to authorise the payment

Instant processing is only possible when the transfer is started using this in-app flow.
Why must Instant Bank Transfers be initiated from the app?
Instant Bank Transfers rely on a secure, single-use Open Banking authorisation generated during the in-app process. Starting the transfer outside the app means this authorisation is not created, and instant processing will not be possible.
What happens if I reuse a previous transfer?
Please do not repeat, re-execute, or resend a previous transfer to Trading 212 directly from your banking app. Transfers made this way bypass the Open Banking flow and will be treated as standard bank transfers, which typically take 1 to 3 business days to arrive, depending on your bank.
Reusing a previous Open Banking (TrueLayer) transaction is not recommended, as it is typically slower and less reliable. For the best experience, always start your deposit from the Trading 212 app.

If you are unable to complete the Instant Bank Transfer flow, we recommend sending a new standard bank transfer directly to our JPMorgan account. The funds should arrive within the standard banking timeframes.
Who can use Instant Bank Transfers?
Instant Bank Transfers are available for:
- GBP accounts registered under Trading 212 UK Ltd
- EUR accounts of German residents registered under Trading 212 Markets Ltd
Are there any requirements for using Instant Bank Transfers?
Yes. Each Instant Bank Transfer must be initiated from the Trading 212 app to be processed successfully.
Which banks are supported?
The list of supported banks is determined by our Open Banking provider, TrueLayer, in collaboration with participating banks. Trading 212 cannot add additional banks to this list.
Are withdrawals instant?
No. Withdrawals are processed within standard timeframes (up to 3 business days) and are not instant.
What should I do if my Instant Bank Transfer is not successful?
First, confirm that the transfer was initiated using the in-app process described above. If the issue continues, please try the following:
- Ensure the Trading 212 app is updated to the latest version
- Ensure your banking app is updated
- Set Safari (iOS) or Chrome (Android) as your default browser
- Attempt the transfer again
- Try switching between mobile data and Wi-Fi.
If the issue still persists even after following the steps above, please contact your bank to check for any restrictions, such as daily limits or security blocks
