Crypto-assets are high-risk and volatile. You could lose your invested capital, and they are not covered by protection schemes. Make sure you understand the risks before investing. |
If you have an Invest or CFD account with Trading 212 EU GmbH, you can open a Trading 212 Crypto account from the account menu. You do not need to create a new Trading 212 account.
Your Crypto account will have a separate account ID and its own terms. Your Invest/CFD and Crypto balances are shown separately, and the provider is displayed in the app.
📄 Note

What happens when I move cash between Invest/CFD and Crypto?
If your Invest/CFD account is with Trading 212 EU GmbH and your Crypto account is with Trading 212 Markets Ltd., the transfer is between two separate entities. The transfer screen shows the account and provider names before you confirm.
How will the Crypto account be reflected in my statements?
Your statement will include separate sections for each Trading 212 account and provider. For example, Invest/CFD activity will be shown under Trading 212 EU GmbH, while Crypto activity will be shown under Trading 212 Markets Ltd.
Each section includes the balances, transactions and account details for that account.
Because the accounts are provided by separate entities, there is no single combined balance or combined profit/loss total across Invest/CFD and Crypto.
What happens to my Crypto account if I move to another country?
Eligibility for Trading 212 Crypto depends on your country of residence and whether Trading 212 Markets Ltd. can offer the service there.
If you move, update your address in the app as soon as possible.
If Crypto is not available in your new country of residence, your Crypto account may be restricted. We will let you know what actions are available, such as selling holdings, withdrawing available cash, or contacting us for next steps.
