If you imported shares into a Pie, or bought them directly inside a Pie, the Sell button will not appear when viewing that stock’s instrument page.
Where can I find these shares?
You can do so in two ways:
- You can open the Asset Allocation tab under your Investments. There you’ll see the full list of instruments or;
- Go to the Holdings tab in the specific Pie where the shares are kept.
How can I sell shares in a pie?
Shares in Pies don't appear under the main Investments tab, and you can't sell them from the instrument's page. You can sell them from the Pie instead:
- Sell from the Pie: Open the Pie, go to the Holdings tab, tap the instrument and choose Sell. You can sell some or all of it, and the proceeds stay in the Pie as Pie Cash. See How do I sell an instrument from my Pie?
- Withdraw funds: Use the Pie's Withdraw option to sell across the Pie's holdings and move the money to your account's free cash.
If you'd rather keep the shares but hold them outside the Pie, use Export investments (via the three dots in the top-right corner). Exported shares appear as standalone positions, where the Sell button is available.
