You can move shares between your Pie and your main Investments account, as long as no other action is in progress. This allows you to adjust how your portfolio is organized and managed.
How to import shares into your pie?
Importing means moving shares you already own in your main Investments account into one of your Pies.
- Open the Pie and tap the three dots (top right).
- Select Import Investments.
- Choose the shares you want to import.
- Use the slider to set how many shares to transfer.
- Adjust your Pie target allocations so the total equals 100%.
đź“„ Note
Once imported, the shares become part of the Pie and follow its rules (targets, rebalancing, etc.).
🤓 Tip
Adjusting your pie target allocation works only if you import new instruments into the pie.
How to export shares from your pie?
Exporting means moving shares out of your Pie and back into your main Investments account.
- Open the Pie and tap the three dots (top right).
- Select Export Investments.
- Choose the shares to export and use the slider to set the quantity.
- If you export all shares of one investment, adjust your Pie targets since it will no longer be part of the Pie.
đź“„ Note
Exported shares appear in your Investments tab as standalone positions and are no longer tied to the Pie.
Is there a difference between the import/export function for Model Pies?
Importing into a Model Pie
If your Pie is linked to a Model Pie, you can only import assets that already exist in the original Model Pie. This restriction ensures your portfolio stays consistent with the creator’s strategy.
đź’ˇ Example
If the Model Pie doesn’t contain a specific stock, you cannot import it into your Linked Pie.
To add new assets not included in the Model Pie, you must unlink your Pie first.
Once unlinked, you gain full control of the Pie, but it will no longer automatically update when the original Model Pie changes.
Exporting from a Model Pie
You can export your Linked Pie’s current structure, just like any other Pie. Re-importing after export is allowed, since the exported instruments are already part of your Pie and can be imported back.
Unlike regular Pies, when you export all shares of an instrument from a Linked Pie, the instrument does not get removed. This is intentional, to preserve the creator’s strategy. In standard Pies, exporting all shares of an instrument would remove it and force a reallocation of percentages.
đź’ˇ Example
If your Linked Pie includes Stock A, Stock B, and Stock C (from the Model Pie), and you export all of them, your Pie will still show A, B, and C.
The target percentages won’t disappear or reset, ensuring the Model Pie’s structure remains intact.
What should be taken into consideration about the export/import feature?
When you import shares, they move from your main account into the Pie and will no longer appear in the Investments tab.
When you export shares, they reappear under Investments as independent holdings.
đź“„ Note
Your shares are always visible - either inside a Pie or in your main account.
