Each slice in a Pie has a percentage weight compared to the rest of the slices. This Target Weight is set when you first create or copy a Pie.
Over time, the Actual Weight of each slice may change because the value of the investments goes up or down.
- Slices that perform better than others will grow larger in the Pie chart.
- Slices that perform worse will shrink in size.
📄 Note
Target weight: The percentage of the total pie that this slice is intended to represent.
Actual weight: The percentage of the total pie that this slice currently represents.
The Rebalancing feature lets you bring the Pie back in line with its Target Weights by automatically buying or selling shares.
💡 Example
A stock is given a Target Weight of 30%. If it performs well and its share of the Pie grows to 35.98%, it becomes an overweight slice.
On the other hand, if a stock set to 25% Target Weight falls to 20%, it becomes an underweight slice.
Together, all slices always add up to 100%.
