Yes, we distribute Warrants, Contingent Value Rights (CVRs) and Corpact Units (temporary lines of stock). These are usually received after a stock you own has a corporate action like a spin-off, merger, acquisition, or rights issue.
Eligible shareholders will receive in-app notifications about the number of issued shares/units. These are derivative instruments with their own ticker, ISIN, and name. You can check them out in the portfolio section of your account. They can only be sold at the market price if they are tradable.
- Warrants can be tradable or non-tradable. At present, warrants cannot be exercised and converted into shares.
- CVRs and Corpacts are non-tradable and display ownership or entitlement to future payments distributed by the companies.
Are these instruments available in Stocks ISAs?
No. As per HMRC ISA eligibility rules, these instruments can't be held in an ISA.
Can I still receive these instruments if I have an ISA?
Yes. We will allocate the instruments to your Invest account if you are eligible to receive them.
What if I don't have an Invest account?
We will notify you about the new instruments, put the allocation on hold, and ask you to create an Invest so we can grant them.
