Yes, we provide the voting option on a best-effort basis, aiming to facilitate as many events as possible. All voting rights held at our custodian accounts will be forwarded to eligible shareholders on a pro-rata basis.
How do I vote?
If you are eligible to participate and cast your vote, you will receive a participation email from around 2-6 weeks before the meeting date.
Who will contact me?
The email will be sent from Trading212@proxydocs.com. It is necessary to click on the "Vote now" button, which will transfer you to our voting page.
Is fractional voting supported?
Yes, voting can be facilitated for fractional positions.
- Votes for US securities (including their European listings) can be cast on positions under 1 share. Example: 0.25 shares
- Votes on European securities (under SRD II) can be cast on positions of 1 or more shares. Example 1.25 shares.
What is a voting status? (NOBO/OBO)
If you are a Non-Objecting Beneficial Owner (NOBO), we’re allowed to share your personal information with US companies you hold shares with. They can then provide you with financial information, such as financial reports, directly.
The Objecting Beneficial Owner (OBO) status denies the brokers the right to share information with these companies, which prevents direct communication.
Will the status I choose affect my position or voting power?
No. Regardless of your status, you can participate in all voting events you are eligible for.
How can I change my voting status?
The default status is NOBO. You can change it immediately:
1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Privacy & Security.
3. Beneficial owner status.
Which instruments is the status relevant for?
The status is only relevant for US securities, including their European listings.
