24/5 trading lets you trade US stocks non-stop, Monday to Friday. It includes four trading sessions: pre-market, regular hours, after-hours, and overnight.
We’re gradually rolling out the feature to more US stocks. Up to now, 850 out of ~6,000 stocks have 24/5 trading available.
The expected timeframe for the full rollout is Q1 2025.
What are the 24/5 trading sessions?
Pre-market 04:00 - 09:30 ET
Regular hours 09:30 - 16:00 ET
After hours 16:00 - 20:00 ET
Overnight 20:00 - 04:00 ET
What is the difference between 24/5 and EMH?
24/5 includes four trading sessions: pre-market, regular hours, after-hours and overnight.
Extended hours trading includes three trading sessions: pre-market, regular hours and after-hours.
What are the benefits of 24/5?
It lets you stay informed and respond to news and events outside regular trading hours, such as earnings releases, breaking news, or international market activity. It also provides greater flexibility in aligning investing with your schedule.
What are the risks of 24/5?
There is less liquidity and more volatility than the regular trading session, which can lead to sudden price changes, more significant differences between the buy and sell prices, and slower order execution.
These risks may be more pronounced in the overnight session compared to the pre-market and after-hours sessions.
Which stocks are available for 24/5 trading?
All US stocks listed on the NYSE and NASDAQ are available for EMH trading.
24/5 trading, enabled via the overnight session, is a new feature we'll gradually roll out to all US stocks.
Are fractional shares available for 24/5 trading?
Yes, all US stocks are available as fractional shares and can be traded 24/5.
How do I turn 24/5 trading on?
You'll see a ‘24/5 trading’ toggle above the 'Review order' button when placing an order. Once the toggle's switched on, it'll stay enabled until switched off.
Do price charts include 24/5 prices?
Stock price charts currently include pre-market, regular hours and after-hours prices. This is available for mobile and tablet. Web app support will come later this year.
24/5 prices, which include EMH and overnight, will be rolled out in March.
Will 24/5 prices affect my investment value and return?
Yes, the value and return of your investment will include 24/5 prices.
How can I turn off 24/5 prices?
In the settings menu, you'll find the 'Extended hours prices' toggle. Turn off the toggle, and you'll no longer see EMH prices.
Can I choose which orders are 24/5?
Yes, the toggle is per order. You can place one order for Tesla with 24/5 on and another with 24/5 off. You have complete control.
What order types are available on 24/5?
All order types are available in 24/5. There are no restrictions.
Why is my order not executing on 24/5?
There is less liquidity outside the regular trading session. Your orders may be delayed or not executed at all.
Where do 24/5 prices come from?
The prices for the regular, pre-market and after-hours sessions come from the US stock exchanges. We always use the best price, also called national best bid and offer, available across all of the 18 US exchanges.

Overnight session prices come from Blue Ocean. They are the only US exchange that trades overnight.
