We will process the dividend payments directly to your account with us if you are eligible for receiving them.
For Invest/ISA accounts, we aim to pay dividends within a few days after the payment date. However, the process can take up to a few weeks on rare occasions.
CFD dividends, on the other hand, will be paid into your account on the ex-dividend date. They are not dividends in the classical sense of the word. Their purpose is to serve as an adjustment to the downward movement of the price of the respective instrument that always occurs on the ex-date of the dividend to be distributed by the company whose stock is tracked by the CFD instrument in question.
Respectively, long positions receive a positive adjustment (funds being added), whereas short positions receive a negative one (funds being deducted).
