🤓 Tip
You should first check if the target price of the order was reached. Limit and Stop orders are filled only when the current market price of a stock or ETF hits a chosen level.
On rare occasions, the target price might have been reached, but the order can still be pending. The success of such orders is not necessarily due to time and price priority on the markets. It depends on factors like market volatility, size and type of order, market conditions, and system performance.
Additionally, when there are drastic price fluctuations, spikes or drops, and no sales or purchases, your pending order may not be executed. While these scenarios are rare when they occur, the market will be halted for price volatility, and your order will remain pending.
