Your Trading 212 AU CFD account operates in Australian dollars (AUD). You can fund it directly from the app, and withdraw your free funds back to a verified bank account or card at any time.
How to deposit?
- Open the Trading 212 app and switch to your CFD account.
- Tap Menu → Manage funds → Deposit.
- Choose your preferred payment method, enter the amount in AUD, and confirm.
Supported payment methods include credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers. Additional Australian payment options may be added over time.
📄 Note
Your AU CFD account only accepts deposits in AUD. If you deposit using a card issued in another currency, your card provider may apply a foreign exchange conversion before the funds arrive.
How to withdraw?
- Open the Trading 212 app and switch to your CFD account.
- Tap Menu → Manage funds → Withdraw.
- Enter the amount you wish to withdraw in AUD and confirm.
You can withdraw any amount up to your free funds. Funds that are currently blocked as margin on open positions can only be withdrawn once those positions are closed or partially reduced.
Where is my money held?
Australian client money rules require us to keep client funds separate from our own. All cash in your AU CFD account is held in a designated client trust account with an Australian bank, separately from Trading 212's own assets. For full details, please check: Funds and assets protection
Can I move money between my AU Invest and AU CFD accounts?
Yes. Open the app, tap Menu → Manage funds → Transfer between accounts, choose the source and destination accounts, and enter the amount in AUD.
Why didn't my deposit arrive instantly?
Card deposits usually appear within minutes. Bank transfers can take longer depending on your bank and the time of day - typically between 1-3 business days. If a deposit hasn't appeared after that, please contact us through the in-app chat.
