Is there a way to deposit funds without paying a fee?
Yes. Deposits via Bank Transfers and Instant Bank Transfers remain free, however, it is needed to consult with your bank on whether they apply any fees on their side.

No, the limit applies to the total amount of funds you deposit into your Invest or ISA account.
Example: You deposit £1500 via card. This is within the £2000 free-deposit limit, so you wouldn’t pay any fee on that deposit. Now you have £500 until you reach the free-deposit limit. You deposit an additional £800, of which £500 will be fee-free, and £300 will be subject to the fee.
