CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. 77% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.
The Account Status, also known as the Margin Indicator, on our platform, displays the remaining funds in your account as a percentage. The calculation is based on the following formulas:
Account Status over 50% = Total funds / (Total funds + Blocked funds) x 100[%]
Account Status under 50% = Total funds / Blocked funds x 50[%]
- Margin between 100% and 50%: This range signifies that you have available funds to open new positions.
- Margin below 50%: When your margin falls below 50%, it means that you have utilized all your free funds and cannot open new positions.
- Margin at 45% - Margin Call: If your account status drops below 45%, you will receive an email notification warning you about the low margin.
- Margin below 25% - Closure of CFD positions: When your account status goes below 25%, the system will automatically close your positions in the order they were opened until your margin indicator exceeds 25%. If there is a circumstance preventing one of them from closing (such as a closed market for example), the platform moves to the next one. Тhe system may not be able to place a closing market order instantly in the absence of a freshly received quote. In this instance, it would also move to the next position in line in a chronological fashion. This safeguard prevents you from losing more than your deposited funds. You can check your account status by clicking on the "status indicator" tapping on your available funds on both web and mobile.
Here's an example of a Practice Mode account with open positions, showing 57% of account status, with approximately £237 Free Funds and £657.59 Blocked Funds.
Note: The warning notification is sent only once and will be valid until the margin goes above 60%.
Note: In case of extreme volatility and a sharp drop in your account status (margin %), the system might close your positions without sending a margin call to protect you from going into a negative balance.
