Investing cashback
You can also choose to invest the cashback that you earn from purchases with your 212 Card. The cashback will be transferred to your selected Trading 212 Pie’s cash balance. It will be invested as per your instructions in the Pie of your choice.
To enable the feature, go to the Cards tab in the app and select "Invest cashback".
When the feature is enabled, all of your earned cashback will be invested.
📄 Note
You will need to accept the updated T&Cs before having the option to enable both features since they are disabled by default.
How does rounding up work?
Each transaction rounds up to a specified increment, depending on the currency:
- GBP, USD, EUR, BGN, CAD, CHF: Rounded to the nearest whole number.
- PLN and RON: Rounded to the nearest multiple of 5.
- SEK, NOK, DKK, CZK: Rounded to the nearest multiple of 10.
- HUF: Rounded to the nearest multiple of 100.
How do multipliers work?
When enabling the feature, you can select a multiplier (x1, x2, x3, x4 or x5) to apply to each spare change amount you invest.
📄 Note
Funds invested due to a multiplier are still invested from your own free funds.
Can I invest change in multiple Pies?
No, you can invest only in one Pie at a time. If you have deleted your chosen Pie, we will automatically disable the Invest Spare Change feature for you.
Can I disable rounding up?
Yes, you can do so at any time by going to your card menu, selecting 'Invest spare change', then selecting 'Disable'.
Which currency wallet will the funds be invested from?
The spare change invested will always be handled in your main account currency wallet. If you pay in a foreign currency, the rounded-up amount is converted and withdrawn from the main currency wallet. We won't charge you FX fee when we convert between currencies to facilitate a 212 Card withdrawal. See Terms and fees available on our website.
